FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Pavers vs. Concrete
Pavers vs. Concrete

Concrete slabs can be embossed with a pattern, resembling a paver like design. However, concrete is prone to cracking, and not easy to repair. Pavers allow the ability to not only design great patterns and shapes, but also multiple color options in one design. Also, pavers are installed with the ability to replace single pavers as needed. We strongly recommend choosing pavers over concrete.

Is it safe to shovel and plow my pavers?

Snow and ice will generally melt faster because of the joints around the pavers. However, if you find it necessary to shovel or plow, we advise using a rubber edge on your blade. This will prevent damage to the pavers. (Rock salt will remove snow and ice but can harm pavers if used in excess.)

What are efflorescence?
What are efflorescence?

Efflorescence occurs when natural salts come to the surface and leave behind a white deposit. This is normal, non harmful to pavers, and can be easily brushed off.

Will I need to worry about weeds between my pavers?

The installation of pavers prevents weeds and grass from growing up between the pavers. However, seeds or spores can become lodged between the pavers and grow. If this occurs, it is advised to use a spot vegitation killer to remove unwanted weeds or grass. Vegitation killers will not damage your pavers.
